About Epoxy Floors

The many uses of epoxy

While we have all heard of epoxy being used on garage floors, epoxy is making surges into multiple uses in businesses, industrial buildings and even in the living rooms of some homes.

The reason?

Because epoxy floors can be amazingly varied and gorgeous with incredible designs, patterns and colors.

This type of epoxy is not a paint or low-quality, home-improvement type of epoxy. It is made of professionally-created mixtures of urethanes, polyaspartic resins, and epoxies. The result is a shiny and scratch, impact and stain-resistant surface that lasts for years and years.

Three basic types of epoxy flooring

Pigmented Epoxy
This type of epoxy flooring has a clean look in a number of different colors. Pigmented Epoxy is the more traditional type of epoxy with no design or pattern in it.
Flaked Epoxy
Decorative vinyl color chips or flakes are mixed in the epoxy to give your floor a granite-like appearance.
Metallic Epoxy
Metallic epoxy combines mica particles with the epoxy to create unusual but beautiful metallic flooring with an appearance of brass, copper and other metallic looking colors. Some floors appear to be inspired by water color paintings, pictures of flowing lava and sunsets in stunning floor art murals.
